“I looked at breast cancer as
The Race of My Life.”

“I’ve been active from a young age, and I
Attribute my recovery to the
role exercise has played in
my life.”

“Just like sports at every level, winning my
fight with breast cancer is about…
Training my body to compete.”
She entered the boys club 30 years ago, well before the world woke to the fact that a female could play the sport just as well as a male. She played ice hockey. She started playing at a time when that desire meant playing on a boy’s team.
