What product is being recalled?

Under Armour has determined that there is a problem with its athletic cups breaking under certain circumstances. Accordingly, in conjunction with the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, Under Armour is voluntarily recalling all cups with the Under Armour logo, regardless of size or date of purchase. The cups sold for about $18 CAD, depending on size. This recall also includes all cups sold with Under Armour compression shorts or jock shorts. Please note that the shorts are NOT part of the recall.

I own an Under Armour athletic cup. What should I do?

You should stop using the cup immediately. If the cup is used by a minor or someone else in your household, take the cup away to ensure it cannot be used. Has anyone been injured in connection with an athletic cup?

One person in the United States suffered cuts and bruising when a cup broke. That person is fine, but at Under Armour, we take any injury seriously and we will use this incident to improve the quality and strength of our cup.

Did the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission force Under Armour to conduct a recall?

No. Under Armour discovered the problem and quickly reported it to the US CPSC. This is a voluntary recall.
