The Armour39® System includes a Chest Strap, Module, App, and Watch. The Module and Chest Strap are sold together. The App is available on the App Store. The Watch is sold separately.
The Chest Strap wicks sweat and it stays put. It collects your information and transfers it to the Module the brain of the Armour39® system fitted in the Chest Strap. The Module automatically transmits this information in real-time to a display device, either the App or the Watch. You don’t need both the App and the Watch to use the System.
What do I need to use the Armour39® System?
You need the Armour39® Module and Chest Strap (sold together) and either the App or the Watch (sold separately) to display your information. You don’t need both the App and the Watch. But if you do, you can alternate using the App and the Watch for different workouts.
What mobile devices does the Armour39®? App work with?
The Armour39® App works with iPhone® 4S, iPhone® 5, iPhone® 5S, iPhone® 5C, and iPod touch® (5th gen). The Armour39® App is available on the App Store.
How do I use the Armour39® System to get better?
Use the Armour39® System to track your workout stats in real-time and know for sure when you’re giving all you’ve got and when you’re slacking. Set a WILLpower™ target for individual workouts for a light day versus a hard day and push yourself to achieve exactly what you wanted out of each workout to meet your training goals. And evaluate improvements in your overall fitness by performing the Armour39® Assessment and tracking changes in your ventilatory threshold and recovery rate.
What makes the Armour39® measures so precise for athletes?
The Armour39® System knows what you’re capable of, senses how you move, and captures every heart beat to deliver precise measurements.
The System counts beat-to-beat information so it captures your changes in intensity to the second and shows you exactly how hard you’re working right now.
The System determines what you’re capable of by collecting key heart rate information max heart rate, ventilatory threshold, and recovery rate when you perform the Assessment. With this information, Armour39® System customizes the measures to your specifications.
The System has motion sensors inside that sense your movements and body position. Your body has to work harder when you’re in some positions than when you’re in others, so it’s important that the Armour39® System knows when you’re in a plank position, doing burpees, or on a run.
What’s a WILLpower™ score?
WILLpower™ is a single score of how hard your body has worked during a training session, on a scale of 0.0 10.0. It accumulates over the length of your workout, taking into account information that includes the length of your workout, body position, intensity throughout, user profile, and key heart rate information. With WILLpower, you can, for the first time, objectively measure a hard day versus a light day.
The scale is designed to be increasingly difficult to move up. This means that it is easier to climb up the scale from 0.0 to 3.0 than it is to climb up from 6.0 to 9.0.
Is the WILLpower™ scale customized to me?
Yes. The WILLpower™ scale is customized to each athlete. WILLpower takes into account personal information like user profile data and key heart rate info collected during the Assessment.
As your fitness level improves, it will take less effort for you to do the same workout. This means that if you do one workout today you may score a 7.0 WILLpower score. If you do the same workout in 3 months the same level of intensity, the same number of repetitions you may score a slightly lower WILLpower score. This is because it demands less of your body to perform this workout so it requires less WILLpower.
