Yes can be worn solely as a ***HOOD*** (fully on = pull down chin, leaving mouth/nose exposed) ____ Other ways 1) full head covering balaclava 2a) neck gaiter, just neck 2b) neck gaiter, high covering nose

Will this help keep your face warm in the winter season?

Doesn't block the wind. Not recommended for under 45F Tactical version is better fitted (current cold gear hoods will work but is loose in random spots)
