Women's UA Launch Lightweight Jacket

@_jesswatkinsEveryone has different reasons for why they run, for me I enjoy running in nature as it helps to clear my mind. Although this type of running does not mimic game related football fitness it does improve my overall fitness and mental wellbeing which in turns helps me to perform on the pitch. Here are my tips for running: > Eat well and stay hydrated: if you’re going on a long run it is important to fuel your body so that it can perform and recovery nicely. Eat a few hours before you go and make sure you stay hydrated leading up to the run - you can also bring a gel to help during the run. > Stretch: This is a big one! Stretching can be boring but it is so important, sometimes I will be in a rush and convince myself I’ll be fine if I don’t stretch but I have learnt the hard way that this is detrimental and will affect you in the long run. You always need to stretch before any exercise to help prevent injuries. > Set realistic goals: I struggle with this as whether I am running or in the gym I always want to get a PB 😂 however, most of the time this isn’t possible and can lead to injury or lack of motivation. Consistency is what will lead you to success so set realistic targets you know you can do consistently. > Invest in good-quality running shoes: Having comfortable running shoes really does help especially on those longer runs. The Under Armour Hover Infinite Elite’s have a springy cushion feel which protects your foot with every stride, meaning you can worry less about injures and enjoy running more. > Try to enjoy it: Running really can be an escape especially if you are on your phone/screens a lot during the day/weeks. I definitely enjoy running more in nature as I feel like it really helps to refresh my mind. Another way to enjoy it is to have a good playlist or to run with a friend! #AD underarmour
