I purchased this for my boyfriend for Christmas and he loves it! He wears this for all his outdoor activities and he is never cold.
~3-4 years I upgraded my cold gear leggings and those failed after a year with holes in the crotch. These are an improved construction and no holes so far.

The Men's ColdGear® Leggings can be worn alone or with another layer, it just depends on personal preference! Please be advised that these leggings do have a stretch-mesh gusset and inseam panels to provide strategic ventilation.
Our Men's UA Base 2.0 Leggings are lightweight and built for high activity in cool conditions. They are made of a soft, grid-like texture and can be thought of us long underwear. The Men's ColdGear® Leggings are made of our traditional. smooth performance ColdGear® material. They are made of a dual-layer fabric with an ultra-warm, brushed interior, and do not take activity levels into account.
One pair of leggings are not necessarily warmer than the other, but the Men's UA RUSH™ ColdGear® Leggings are made with our UA RUSH™ technology, which is infrared technology that reflects your body's energy to help you work harder and recover. For ColdGear® based on activity level, we would recommend checking out our Men's UA Base Leggings options: 2.0 is for cold weather with heavy activity 3.0 is colder weather with moderate to light activity 4.0 is for very cold weather with little-to-no activity
