The Men's UA Performance 3.0 Polo is textured, lightweight, and is made of 93% Polyester/7% Elastane. The Men's UA Playoff 3.0 Polo was redesigned to be more breathable, fit better, has a side-vent hem, and is made of 95% Polyester/5% Elastane.
So I am 6 ft 4 in tall & enjoy wearing a regular large. But I am somewhat fit & don’t mind the very minimal tightness around my shoulders / biceps. I don’t have any snugness around my midsection in a large, but I wear a 34” waist. If he doesn’t like that snug feel around his shoulders / biceps when he raises his arms, or has a little weight around the midsection, I would go with the XL or the Large Tall. I LOVE the basic colored Under Armour Polos so much I buy them for my guys & I to wear at work.
