These SlipSpeeds are a game changer for this 70 year old. I've been using the Salomon's for years because of their wire pulls, a great convenience for a 6'7" body as I age out. Flexability, never great, gets less and less, so putting on shoes becomes more and more. These are even better than that, with the heel option. My only nervousness is the longevity of the twist tightener...we shall see. But the comfort is there from day one, they really fit my size 14's with great support.

I am looking for a slip on walking shoe that will minimize my bending. Do I hve to manually flip the heel up into 'training mode' or can I just slip my foot in...or does slipping my foot in cause the heel to automatically fold down?
