This may vary depending upon personal preference and the terrain. Some people prefer to wear track spikes for cross country, and some do not, but the Unisex UA Kick Distance 4 Track Spikes are specifically designed for distance runs!

What is the material on the bottom of the spike? Can it be used on a soft indoor track?

The spike pins on the Unisex UA Kick Distance 4 Track Spikes are made of metal and the front plate is made of Pebax.
