The shoes are great, and the team at Unless Collective is phenomenal. I bought the Degenerate sneakers late last year and absolutely loved them. They unfortunately gave out at the soles this summer, and I had them returned to Unless as part of their “Takeback Program,” where the shoes are composted and used to create new products. Long story short, after telling them about the worn shoes, they sent me a new pair of the York shoes without me asking for them and without charge, which they were under no obligation to do. I wore them as soon as they arrived, and they are as comfortable and stylish as the last pair I owned. That level of customer service is rare. They are great people, and I want to give a special shoutout to Kathi L., who was my primary contact at the company. They deserve all the success and praise that’s headed their way. 10/10
It is hard to tell if everything is 100 % organic, you can easily spot the traces of glue from the soles. Unless the glue is also made from nature only. More products like this should be made in order to stop all that typical grounding we all face from regular shoes.

Hi, there! We recommend hand-washing our UNLESS York shoes by first removing any excess dirt and mud with a dry brush. Then use a mild detergent and warm water to remove any stains with a sponge or towel, and allow to air-dry.
