HIT SAVE! This is the 30 minute workout I did on vacation and I LOVED IT! 10 minute warm up on the treadmill, I walked at 4.5 speed and 11 incline. Circuit: 10 mins total, 1 minute each exercise, 3 rounds Push up, with weight pull through Fly into front raise Weighted sumo squat Circuit: 10 mins total, 1 minute each exercise, 3 rounds Bicycles Crunches Leg lifts Then I went to breakfast and enjoyed my day! Workouts don’t have to be super intense, or strenuous, or long in order to be effective. This was 30 minutes. I broke a sweat. Felt confident. And went on with my day! Strength of the mind, strength of the body. I’ve been going all in on both and talking about it here. I super set my strength workouts with faith and belief in myself. ⠀ Don’t know what a super set is? I got you. A superset is defined by alternating two sets of exercises, with no rest between. ⠀ No time outs and no rest days on believing in yourself. I’m not typically a fan of the #nodaysoff school of thought. However, when applying it to the mind, the limit on the amount of reps you can do is unlimited. ⠀ Believe in yourself. All gas, no breaks. ⠀ Wearing underarmourwomen head to toe. 👊🏼
Train your body, train your mind. ⠀ The effects of doing both are pretty radical. Pushing the boundaries of what your body can do and intertwining it with what your mind is capable of- hot damn, that some powerful stuff right there! ⠀ Most of you know I’ve been an athlete all my life. I played year round sports in my younger years- Volleyball, basketball, lacrosse, and swim team in the summers. ⠀ It wasn’t until my adult life that I really found and began to understand the intersection of mind and body. ⠀ There’s a spill over that happens when we prioritize those things- we begin to notice the affects in other areas of our lives. ⠀ It’s cool to workout. It’s cool to post a gym selfie. People do it because they are proud of themselves for showing up and getting their sweat on. I want to ALSO normalize, prioritize, and celebrate mental reps! Time spent meditating, or journaling, or going to therapy! Because, personally, I think that’s really cool too! 💪🏼🧠 ⠀ Comment below and share what you do for your mental health!
