Making a Name for Himself

Expectations are meant to be met. In the case of Bryce Harper, it’s safe to assume they’ve been shattered—and more. The first overall pick in the 2010 MLB June Amateur Draft, Harper made his Major League debut just two years later. Since then, he’s been a two-time Most Valuable Player (MVP), National League Rookie of the Year (2012), four-time Silver Slugger, eight-time All-Star, Home Run Derby champion, and a 2022 NLCS MVP.

In his rookie year with the Washington Nationals, Harper’s 5.2 wins above replacement (WAR) led the team, as did his nine triples and 98 runs scored. Batting .270 with 22 home runs and 59 RBIs in 139 games, Harper was instrumental in leading the Nats to their first-ever first-place finish in their division in franchise history, (previously the Montreal Expos, last won the division in 1994) and first playoff appearance in franchise history as well (Expos last made the playoffs in 1981). The 1994 season ended due to a strike). Washington would go on to win the division four years out of the seven Harper played for the franchise, falling in the NLDS each of those four years.

During his first MVP campaign in 2015, Harper’s 9.7 WAR, 118 runs scored, and 42 homers not only led the National League, but his .460 OBP, .649 SLG, and 1.109 OPS led the entirety of baseball.

After spending seven seasons in Washington D.C., Harper joined division rivals Philadelphia in 2019. In 2025 alone, Harper became the youngest active player to hit his 350th career home run at the age of 32. His first NL MVP in 2015? He was the youngest player ever to win the award in the National League.

But it’s not just Harper’s on-field performances that define him. Outside of the diamond, Harper’s an avid foodie, which he showcased to the internet through his TikTok profile during the 2025 offseason. From iced vanilla lattes and iced strawberry matcha, to homemade bagels, his post-workout go-to shakes and meals, you can follow along and get a glimpse of his off-the-field go-to’s and more.

One of Under Armour’s values is serving our communities. Harper has taken that value to heart over the course of his career. In 2013, he launched Harper’s Heroes, a charity partnered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society that helps children fight cancer. He’s helped provide Make-A-Wish families with memorable experiences, has frequently donated to local Goodwill stores, and gave back to his Las Vegas and Philadelphia communities throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
